The Morning Mist Cabin is relaxation at its best. As you sip your morning coffee, you might see a spectacular mist nestled in the beautiful Suches mountains. This high mountain valley (3,000 ft. elevation) is surrounded by thousands of acres of National Forest and Wildlife Management areas. The cabin is 1 mile from Henry Gap on the Appalachian Trail, 2 miles from great fishing at Lake Winfield Scott and 9 miles to Vogel State Park.

 

MORNING MIST ACCOMMODATIONS

~ A fully furnished two bedroom, one bath cabin ~ One king size bed in master bedroom
~ 2 twin beds in second bedroom ~ Futon in living room
~ Wood burning fireplace (one night firewood provided)
~ Ceiling fans ~ Carport ~ Outdoor gas grill ~ Satellite TV
~ Fully equipped country eat-in kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, range, washer/dryer, coffee pot and other small appliances.
~ New Central heating and air conditioning ~ Covered back porch with table & chairs
~ Across the creek in the back yard, relax at the picnic table located on 1.5 acres of land.
~ All towels and linens are provided ~ Covered front porch with rocking chairs and porch swing
~ New windows throughout the cabin so our guests can enjoy the cool breezes from the mountain air.
~ New 600 foot well so our guests can enjoy the natural spring water of the Appalachians! No bottle water needed!

 

RATES*
2 nights - $170.00 (minimum stay)
5 nights - $425.00 with 6th & 7th night free *Plus tax

Check In: 2 p.m. ~~ Check Out 11 a.m.
The cabin comfortably accommodates 4 people and rates are based on 1 to 4 people.
Over four, add $10.00 per person per day.
Maximum sleeping accommodates no more than 6.

Deposit Requirements
We rent on a first-come, first serve basis and we will gladly hold any future dates for you upon receipt of a deposit.
Reservations may be made with a 50% deposit, balance due upon arrival.
2 weeks (14 days) cancellation notice is required to receive a refund.
Any party bringing more people than the reservation requested, without prior notification, will be asked to leave with no refunds given.

Location/Directions
A 1.5 hour drive from the Atlanta area, follow GA Hwy.400 North to GA Hwy.60 North, through Dahlonega to Suches. Upon your descent from Woody Gap into the Suches Valley, just past a lake on the right, turn right on GA Hwy.180 (also known as Wolf Pen Gap Rd.), the curviest road in Georgia. Travel 3.7 miles to our white cabin with red metal roof on the the right.
